A Hurrah for our Volunteer Training Session!
A big thank you to all who attended our free volunteer training and docent information session on November 13th. We had a presentation by our Co-Director of Partnerships and Interpretation Meg Clovis about the history of Captain Cooper, the growth of Monterey and early California life and Cooper-Molera’s transformations as a whole.
If you are interested in becoming a docent, or learning more about Cooper-Molera’s history, stop in the Adobe sometime to learn more about becoming involved in our growing site!
Life in Monterey in the 1850’s with Dennis Copeland: November 2, 2019
A very successful and packed house at the Monterey Public Library for the Historic Garden League’s Life in Monterey in the 1850’s with Dennis Copeland. Thanks to all who attended!
Dennis Copeland, history and museums and archives manager for the City of Monterey, will engage us with “Life in Monterey” during the Gold Rush (1848-1855), one of the most significant periods in our history. Please join him in exploring this facinating era through the changing world of Joseph Boston and his neighbors, — and much more.
Hosted by the Historic Garden League.
