The Cooper-Molera Adobe complex is private property. The following Code of Conduct is set forth to protect the property’s legitimate business and civic interests. Any violation of the Code of Conduct interferes with the commercial and civic function of the property. As a visitor to the property you are prohibited from engaging in any of the following activities:
• Smoking except at authorized private events, and then only in designated smoking areas.
• Possessing any open container of alcohol or consuming alcoholic beverages except in licensed businesses or authorized events.
• Being intoxicated and/or being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Playing musical instruments or using sound‐amplified equipment without property management approval.
• Using physical force, threatening use of force, making obscene gestures, using obscene language, or engaging in other boisterous activity.
• Carrying or displaying weapons of any kind except those carried by certified law enforcement officers in the performance of their duties.
• Interfering with the free flow of pedestrian traffic.
• Littering, defacing, or damaging any real or personal property. (Penal Code Sec. 374.4, 594)
• Engaging in non‐commercial expressive activity without property management approval.
• Soliciting money, panhandling, distribution of leaflets or promotional material.
• Loitering, delaying, lingering, or remaining idle about the property without any commercial or civic purpose (CA Penal Code Sec. 647(h)).
• Engaging in any unlawful activity or behavior.
• Failing to control a pet. Pets must be leashed and controlled at all times.
• Gathering or petitioning without property management approval.If you fail or refuse to follow this Code of Conduct you will be asked to leave the property. If you fail or refuse to leave the property, you will be arrested and prosecuted for Criminal Trespass (CA Penal Code Sec. 602.1)
